Building a bridge to a young person’s world with the Christian message is what Dan Rackham and Go Chatter are all about. This resource truly enables you to do that. It is creative and innovative, and it will hhelp you talk about the most amazing event in history—the birth of the Saviour of the world. I can’t recommend this highly enough, particularly with the video that will bring the story even more to life!
Master Builder LEGO skills meet an ancient story that is still changing lives. This is a professional product that will no doubt engage young children and grown-up children alike!
This was a great book to have this past Christmas season. My kids are all little lego-builders and thought it was fun to see the familiar Christmas story but in lego form. I like that there were a few things at the end that they could try to build on their own. I love books that speak truth to my kids, and if it inspires them to be creative, I love that too. How cool to think of them creating their own scenes from the Bible as they build!
Engaging pictures and fanstastic supporting resources - Sunday School curriculum, video, family advent calendar! We used the curriculum in Sunday School and bought a book as a gift for each family.
This is a fun and faithful telling of the Christmas story. I bought it for some church families who already own many of the popular books that tell this story, such as The Christmas Surprise and The Christmas Promise.
I bought 10 copies to give to Yr 3 children who come to a bible club I run in a local primary school on Tuesday lunchtimes. Having told the Christmas story over 3 sessions it was lovely to be able to give each child the book. The presentation was brilliant and the photo pages of the lego characters were excellent. The story was told simply in easy to read sections and I loved how it started with the context of why God sent Jesus. The how to make some of the characters at the back of the book was a wonderful extra. All for a very modest price considering the quality of the book. Thank you that 10 of these books are now in homes that may not know the real meaning of Christmas.
I received this book with high hopes that my Lego-loving girls (ages 8, 7, and 4) would love it, but unfortunately it did not capture their hearts. Though not a favorite in our home, I know it is in others and believe it is a good resource to engage young hearts with the Christmas story in a new and fun way.
The Christmas Story Brick by Brick by Rachael Hood arrived at the perfect time for our family! This year, my kids have really gotten into Legos, so they were thrilled to receive this book.
Fresh and Engaging
They eagerly flipped through every page, captivated by the creative builds by Joshua Whitehouse. It was such a joy to share the story of Jesus’ birth in this fresh and engaging way—it truly made our Christmas season even more special.
I received a media copy of The Christmas Story Brick by Brick and this is my honest review.
The Christmas Story brick by brick is the perfect book to gift for your Lego lover this Christmas season.
As a mom I’m always looking for books that grab my 6 year olds attention. He’s the one in my house that doesn’t naturally gravitate to a book but he absolutely loved this Lego book. We loved the rhyming and even encouraged us to build our own nativity with legos. I would highly recommend adding this to your lineup of Christmas books to get this season
Thank you so much to @thegoodbookcompanyusa for this book in exchange for my honest review
My Lego-loving son loves this book, and I appreciate that it is a faithful retelling of the biblical Christmas story. It reminds us why Jesus had to come, and that He alone could be our perfect Savior. The Lego sets were fantastic and my son loves looking over all the details.
I received The Christmas Story Brick By Brick compliments of The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.
The Christmas Story Brick By Brick is a fun retelling of Jesus‘s birth. Rather than using illustrations, this book uses scenes built out of Legos. The scenes are still shots from the video The Story of Christmas by Go Chatter Studios and the book’s text uses some of the lines of that video (Go Chatter Media Ltd and The Good Book Company partnered in publishing this book).
The story is told in rhyming format which is sure to captivate children and help them easily remember the details of when Jesus came and why. I love that the book mentions all three persons of the Trinity. The book does show the magi coming to bring gifts to Jesus in the manger.
According to the Bible, the magi most likely were not present the night of Jesus’s birth as they arrived after it (Matthew 2:1) and after their visit, Herod ordered all male children under two to be put to death (Matthew 2:16) making it likely that Jesus was a toddler at the time of their visit. I plan to use this scene as an opportunity to teach my children about the magi’s visit and where it falls in the timeline of Jesus’s birth.
The Christmas Story Brick By Brick is a wonderful Christmas resource, especially for kids who love Legos! I love this book and look forward to reading it repeatedly with my kids this Christmas season!
I LOVE these LEGO Christmas resources, and we’ve used the LEGO videos in our services at Christmas before, so we are so glad that there is now a book version! It’s a very simple version of the Christmas story and a perfect giveaway at crib services, carol services and to your toddler groups and Sunday school groups. We’re hoping to place a bulk order for this Christmas’s evangelistic services as they’ll be a perfect gift for families!
